Will August 3rd mark the day karate was accepted into the Olympics?

The Karate family now sets their eyes on Rio de Janeiro where this ancient discipline is looking forward to living memorable moments. 

The countdown to the final decision on whether Karate will be included in the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games comes to an end, representatives of the World Karate Federation have arrived in the iconic Brazilian city for the momentous occasion.


Encourage karate in the Olympics

Fans around the world have now the opportunity to demonstrate how strong their support for Karate is and be one of the images of Karate in its quest to Tokyo 2020.

How? Very easy: Simply send your pictures or short video to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. with one of the three images below and prove that you are Karate's biggest fan.

You can choose your message of support and it is up to you to send your pictures and videos with the universal Karate word for respect and greeting "Oss!", with the self-explanatory "I support" or with your own original message.

The best pictures and videos will be featured in WKF Social Media channels, and the most creative images will be part of a special poster wall to be exhibited in the upcoming 2016 Karate World Championships in Linz.
