Results: 2017 World Taekwondo Grand Prix Series 3


The World Taekwondo Grand Prix is one of the biggest official competitions for Taekwondo worldwide, and Series 3 just recently wrapped up. We've still got the finals (in December) before the tournament concludes, but let's take a look at the results of this most recent round of competition.

Day 1

Day 1 of the competition featured Senior Females under 67 kg (147 lbs), Senior Males under 68 kg (150 lbs), and Senior Males over 80 kg (176 lbs).

Senior Females -67 kg

1st - Lauren Williams, Great Britain
2nd - Ruth Gbagbi, Côte d'Ivoire
3rd - Page McPherson, USA
3rd - Matea Jelic, Croatia

Senior Males -68 kg

1st - Ahmad Abughaush, Jordan
2nd - Bradly Sinden, Great Britain
3rd - Joel Gonzalez Bonilla, Spain
3rd - Alexy Denisenko, Russia

Senior Males +80 kg

1st - Kyo-Don In, Korea
2nd - Rafail Aiukaev, Russia

Day 2

 Day 2 of the competition featured Senior Females under 57 kg (125 lbs), Senior Females over 67 kg (147 lbs), and Senior Males under 58 kg (127 lbs).

2nd - Ah-Reum Lee, Korea
3rd -Tatiana Kudashova, Russia
3rd - Patrycia Adamkiewicz, Poland

Senior Females +67 kg

1st - Bianca Walkden, Great Britain
2nd - Aleksandra Kowalczuc, Poland
3rd - Briseida Acosta, Mexico
3rd - Da-Bin Lee, Korea

Males -58 kg

1st - Mikhail Artamonov, Russia
2nd - Armin Hadipour Seighalani, Iran
3rd - Tawin Hanprab, Thailand
3rd -Jesus Tortosa Cabrera, Iran

Day 3

 The final day of the competition featured Senior Females under 49 kg (108 lbs), and Senior Males under 80 kg (176 lbs).

Senior Females -49 kg

2nd - Tijana Bogdanovic, Serbia
3rd - Iris Tang Sing, Brazil
3rd - Rukiye Yildirim, Turkey

Males -80 kg

1st - Cheick Sallah Cisse, Côte d'Ivoire
2nd - Maksim Khramtcov , Russia
3rd - Raul Martinez Garcia, Spain
3rd - Aaron Cook, Moldova
